Sberbank Headquarters Atrium

Scanning from an elevated position looking down and across a vast multistory interior space, this architectural photograph presents a contemporary corporate atrium bathed in natural daylight entering from above through an extensive glass roof system. The dominant impression is one of verdant abundance meeting technological precision, with lush green living walls cascading down the left side of the composition providing organic softness against crystalline steel and glass throughout. Beginning at the left edge, towering vertical garden panels stretch from floor level upward through multiple stories, displaying various shades of green from bright chartreuse to deep forest tones, their texture suggesting soft fern-like foliage that would feel cool and slightly damp to touch. The flooring throughout the ground level presents warm honey-toned oak planking, smooth as polished furniture, spanning the full width and creating a sense of natural warmth underfoot like walking through a sunlit forest clearing. At center, dominating the middle height of the void, hangs a dramatic sculptural installation composed of angular mirrored geometric forms, perhaps fifteen to twenty faceted polyhedra clustered together, their reflective surfaces catching and fragmenting light like enormous cut diamonds suspended in air. Below this floating sculpture, the floor level contains various seating arrangements: in the foreground, a curved banquette upholstered in soft chartreuse wraps around a circular white table, while further back, long communal wooden tables with simple stools create collaborative work zones. The right side of the composition reveals a protruding architectural element with warm terracotta-orange glazing that glows with internal light, suggesting an enclosed meeting space projecting into the void. Throughout the space, slender white floor lamps with conical shades stand like elegant sentinels, their warm light creating intimate pools against the cooler daylight from above. Human figures appear scattered throughout at comfortable scale, engaged in conversation or focused work, their presence establishing the environment as active and welcoming rather than merely architectural spectacle.

Swiss architecture office Evolution Design in partnership with Russian architecture studio T+T architects has designed a spacious multifunctional atrium at the new corporate headquarters of Sberbank in Moscow. The daylight flooded atrium houses diverse coworking spaces and a coffee bar, with the suspended diamond shaped meeting room being the focal point of the internal courtyard. The mirror reflections, glazed internal façade and the use of plants add the sense of spaciousness and continuity.
