Golden A' Design Award Winner 2021
A corridor view presents a contemporary restaurant interior dominated by warm metallic tones and sophisticated lighting. Scanning from the distant background toward the foreground, glass entrance doors occupy the center of the composition, admitting soft daylight that contrasts with the amber-toned interior. The corridor floor consists of large-format gray tiles, smooth and cool underfoot like polished slate, stretching the full width of the frame. Along the right side, a service counter runs parallel to the viewer's path, its face composed of vertical timber slats in honey-gold tones, warm as sun-touched wood, with a continuous strip of golden light at floor level creating an elegant illuminated border. Above this counter, dark shelving displays professional kitchen equipment, suggesting culinary activity. The left portion reveals dining spaces through openings framed by traditional geometric lattice screens, their intricate patterns backlit with amber warmth like lantern light through rice paper, creating intimate alcoves where booth seating with dark upholstery awaits guests. Copper-clad columns and wall panels dominate the material palette, their surfaces brushed to capture light like rose gold jewelry, warm to the eye as heated metal might feel beneath fingertips. The ceiling presents dramatic interest: dark overhead zones punctuated by recessed lights give way to bold angular metallic panels that descend into the space, their brushed copper surfaces catching warm reflections. A crimson cabinet visible mid-ground provides chromatic accent against the predominantly warm metallic and neutral palette. The overall atmosphere suggests quiet anticipation, the warmth of gathered company, perhaps the subtle sounds of kitchen preparation and the aromatic promise of shared meals, creating an environment of sophisticated comfort and culinary invitation.
This is a Chinese hot pot restaurant in Fuzhou. The designer uses the characteristics of the light strip and the titanium plate to reflect the light source, to outline the sense of indoor space. Using linear light to outline the entire space, through the light and shadow of the titanium plated metal plate, the designer has created a cheerful light field. Take a time machine to travel through time and space, and enjoy the food at this time. The light particles converge into layers of light, beam, showing the sense of speed through the lines, and marking a splendid time for you and us.
