Moutai Shengyue Flying Fairy Packaging

Golden A' Design Award Winner 2025

The packaging presentation occupies the center of the composition, consisting of two primary elements positioned on contrasting textured surfaces: a rectangular presentation box on the left and a bottle form on the right, both sharing coordinated visual design across their surfaces, the overall arrangement suggesting a product photography setup that displays packaging components together to communicate the complete brand experience from outer container through final product vessel. Beginning with the presentation box positioned toward the left, this rectangular form displays a horizontal orientation with its front face fully visible, dominated by a warm vermillion to cadmium orange ground color that reads as intensely saturated red-orange, warm as glowing embers or sunset clouds, this vibrant field covering the entire visible surface and creating immediate visual impact through its boldness and chromatic intensity. Near the top center of this box face sits a circular medallion emblem, cream or ivory in color with golden metallic border, containing imagery too small to describe in detail from this perspective but serving as a primary branding element and visual anchor point. Below this medallion, vertical text characters in golden metallic finish run down the surface, reading as important but appearing graceful rather than dominant, their vertical orientation traditional and formal. The most striking visual element on the box surface depicts a celestial maiden figure positioned in the lower left portion, rendered in a style suggesting traditional painting conventions with the figure appearing in profile or three-quarter view, her form defined through warm peach and coral flesh tones suggesting skin, draped in flowing robes of deep burgundy or crimson with golden accent details, her pose dynamic and graceful as though captured mid-flight or dance, one arm extending forward holding what appears to be a ceremonial vessel or offering, her entire figure suggesting lightness, movement, and ethereal quality. Surrounding and interacting with this figure are flowing ribbon or scarf forms in brilliant azure blue, turquoise, golden yellow, and cream, these bands undulating in graceful curves across the composition from upper left sweeping toward lower right, their edges soft and blended, creating sense of movement, atmosphere, and celestial space, the ribbons appearing to trail behind the flying figure as though propelled by her movement or representing divine energy and blessing flowing through space. Small decorative elements in various colors including teal and coral suggesting clouds, blossoms, or other auspicious motifs scatter across the surface, enriching the visual field without cluttering. The box rests on a weathered grey wooden surface, the wood appearing aged with visible grain, knots, and silvery patina, cool and neutral in color, rough in implied texture like barn wood or driftwood, providing stark material and color contrast to the vivid warm packaging. Positioned to the right of the box and partially overlapping its right edge, the bottle form emerges from the opened box interior, which displays a continuation of the vermillion ground but with additional decorative pattern of swirling linear elements in golden or lighter orange tones suggesting clouds or auspicious motifs rendered in a more abstracted graphic style, these pattern elements covering the interior visible surfaces and creating rich decorative field that frames the bottle. The bottle itself presents classical ceramic vessel proportions with broad rounded shoulder tapering to narrower cylindrical neck, its surface displaying a warm reddish-brown translucent quality like amber, caramel, or aged liquor itself visible through transparent or translucent container walls, the liquid color reading as rich, warm, precious. Applied to the bottle surface, the same design vocabulary from the box repeats: the circular medallion emblem appears on the bottle front, vertical golden text characters run down the surface, and most prominently, the celestial maiden figure with her flowing robes and trailing ribbons replicates the box imagery but adapted to the bottle's curved surface, the design wrapping around the three-dimensional form while maintaining compositional coherence and visual impact from the primary frontal viewing angle. The bottle cap crowns the composition with ornamental metallic band in golden bronze or copper tones, textured with decorative pattern or engraving, topped with what appears to be a green gemstone or enamel accent at center, perhaps jade or emerald-colored glass, adding precious material suggestion and completing the vessel's formal ceremonial character. The bottle emerges from fitted interior cavity lined with the patterned vermillion material, suggesting protective custom-fitted packaging that cradles the bottle securely while presenting it elegantly. The entire presentation rests on and is surrounded by warm terracotta or rust-colored granular surface suggesting fired clay, sand, or similar natural material with fine pebbly texture, warm in color temperature, organic in character, this surface providing additional textural contrast and warm neutral backdrop that doesn't compete with the packaging colors but rather supports and grounds them. The lighting appears diffused and warm, coming generally from above and slightly forward, creating gentle modeling without harsh shadows, even illumination that allows the surface colors and details to read clearly, the metallic golden elements catching light with subtle sparkle and reflective shimmer, the overall lighting quality suggesting professional product photography with controlled illumination designed to flatter the subject and ensure clarity across all visible surfaces, colors appearing true and saturated, textures readable, forms clearly defined, the warmth of the light harmonizing with the warm color palette of the packaging itself, reinforcing the overall impression of warmth, luxury, celebration, and carefully considered visual presentation.

The design inspiration of Flying Fairy Culture liquor comes from the Flying Fairy in the murals of the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang. The bottle adopts the element of Flying Fairy, showing the elegance and luxury of Flying Fairy. This design not only pays tribute to traditional Chinese culture, but also combines Kweichow Moutai liquor with Dunhuang art, endowing the product with unique cultural value.
