A contemporary industrial and office complex occupies the center of the composition, presenting as three distinct horizontal rectangular volumes stacked one atop another with each upper level offset slightly from the one below, creating dramatic overhanging projections particularly pronounced on the left side where the topmost level cantilevers substantially beyond the middle tier, scanning from bottom to top reveals this progression of increasingly elevated and projecting building masses. The structure's facade consists entirely of narrow horizontal bands of metal paneling in brilliant white with a subtle satin finish, each horizontal band perhaps two to three inches in apparent height creating continuous linear striping across the entire building envelope from ground to roofline, this relentless horizontal rhythm wrapping around all visible surfaces and establishing the structure's defining textural character, smooth and cool like precisely machined metal. The lowest volume forms the widest base, stretching horizontally across most of the image width, its underside dissolving into deep charcoal shadow suggesting a recessed or partially open ground level that creates visual separation between building mass and earth, as if the structure hovers slightly above the asphalt surface, this shadow zone feeling cool and protected from the bright sunlight illuminating upper surfaces. The middle volume sits atop the first, shifted slightly creating an overhang above and a setback below, its horizontal banding continuing the linear theme while establishing this tier as a distinct element despite material continuity, windows appearing as dark horizontal bands integrated into the white metal coursing suggesting interior spaces receiving natural illumination. This project establishes a smart factory integrating headquarters and plant functions adjacent to the existing research facility. Inspired by stacked crystal chips, the design symbolizes Daishinku's products in architectural form. This motif extends across the exterior and interior, creating an open, continuous workspace that embodies the company's identity while enhancing connectivity. The lighting plan reflects the angles of crystal cutting, integrating this distinctive feature into the spatial design to create a dynamic and functional environment.
